Pinnacles Overlook

This overlook is well worth the 6-mile detour from Rim Drive. Colorful spires 100 feet (30 meters) tall, are being eroded from the canyon wall. These “fossil fumaroles” are the result of volcanic gases that rose up through a cooling ash deposit from the eruption that formed Crater Lake.
