Snowflake Festival Queens Coronation - Miss Klamath County's Miss City of Sunshine's Outstanding Teen Pageant

Please join us as eleven of our area's most dynamic teens compete for scholarships, the titles of Miss Klamath County's Outstanding Teen & Miss City of Sunshine's Outstanding Teen and the privelege of serving as the 2012 Snowflake Festival Queens!
Attend the pageant Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Conger Elementary School, 1700 California Avenue. Admission is $12.00 for ages 12 & up, $8.00 for ages 5- 12, and FREE for children under 5.

Little Linkville: Odd and the Frost Giants

"Odd and the Frost Giants" is a continuing part of the Little Linkville under the direction of Crytsal Muno. the 20 minute play is children's entertainment at its finest, all with a moral to the story in easy to understand language for children ages 3 to 11.
The play will be presented: Dec. 1 & 2, 8 & 9 at 2 p.m. at the Linkville Playhouse, 201 Main St. in downtown Klamath Falls. Tickets are just $2.00 per person.
Quota Christmas Bazaar

The 2012 Quota Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair celebrates its 45th year. Quota International of Klamath Falls uses proceeds from this event to purchase hearing aids for children and assist disadvantaged women and children. Thank you for helping make that possible.
The Bazaar is held at the Klamath County Fairgrounds, exhibit buildings #1 and #2 on Saturday, December 1 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and on Sunday, December 2 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Nearly 100 vendors offer a wide selection of hand-crafted items and other merchandise. Free admission, with donations gladly accepted. Concessions provided by Quota members. Santa Claus available for photos. We also collect non-perishable donations for the Food Bank.
New this year - the public may drop off donations of new pajamas for children in foster care in Klamath County. All sizes from birth through teen are needed and appreciated!
Founded in 1947, Quota International of Klamath Falls, is a non-profit organization focused on helping those with speech and hearing difficulties, and disadvantaged women and children. Membership is open to anyone wanting to help their community, grow personally and professionally, and make friends while having fun. Reserve your tickets now through November 23, at the Running Y Conference Center. This is a major fund raising event benefiting the Klamath Basin Assistance League to support Operation School Bell! The evening includes a Silent Auction and formal sit-down dinner followed by a Live Auction. Auction items include decorated Christmas trees, gift-certificates, vacation packages and much more!
The aim of Operation School Bell is to foster self-worth and dignity in school children and to strnethen families by providing new clothing for children in need in the Klamath Basin. Assistance League Volunteers work closely with school administrators, counselors and staff in identifying the chidren who would benefit from this program.

Tree Lighting with Santa and the Mayor of Klamath Falls

The Annual Tree Lighting will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Park, sponsored by KLAD. Come see the wonderful new LED lights on the Southern Pacific locomotive and the giant blue spruce trees will have more lights, this year, too! Oregon’s Country Giant, 92.5 KLAD will broadcast LIVE at the Park, which is located at the west end of Main Street in downtown Klamath Falls.

This fun race will kick off the Snowflake Parade at 6:30 p.m. on December 6, 2012. The race begins at the Klamath County Museum, proceeds down Main Street and finishes in Veteran’s Park. Packets can be picked up at Ponderosa Junior High from 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on December 6th, 2012. Snowflake Parade Sponsored by Walmart of Klamath Falls

Join us for a Star Spangled Snowflake celebration at the 2012 Snowflake Parade sponsored by Wal-Mart of Klamath Falls. The parade is scheduled for December 6, 2012, beginning at 7 p.m. This fun, whimsical event is a Klamath Falls favorite drawing thousands of parade-goers. Spectators will enjoy the creativity and hard work featured in over 100 floats featuring Santa, brightly illuminated floats, bands, marching groups and more.
The parade route begins at Spring Street, travels down Main Street, and ends at Veteran’s Park. Come down a little early and visit many of our local shops that stay open late for the event.
Applications for parade floats can be obtained at the Chamber offices, 205 Riverside Drive Suite A, above or online at www.klamath.org. Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church
The community SATB chorus and chamber orchestra will perform under the direction of James Hurst. The performance will include selections from each section of The Messiah highlighting solos, choruses and crchestral pieces.The music from Par 1 is based on the Advent, the season leading up to the birth of Christ. Part II relates to the ministry of Christ, and Part III celebrates the Risen Lord and the power of Almighty God.
The Hallelujah Chorus is noted as one of the most stirring pieces of music ever written. Amid shouts of "Hallelujah!" the chorus celebrates God's omnipotence, the arrival of His kingdom on earth, and His everlasting reign.
The performance of the Messiah brings to life the true spirit of Christmas. It has been performed in houses across the world to remind people of the original reason for the holiday.
There is no cost to attend the performance; however, a free-will offering will be collected at that time to both cover the costs associated with the performance and help local community charities.

Klamath Ice Sports Inc. is pleased to announce the annual SNOWFLAKE SKATE which will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Bill Collier Community Ice Arena. Families are invited to bundle up and head out to their favorite community ice arena which is located just inside the entrance to the Running Y Resort. This special two hour Open Skate session is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye as you gear up for the holiday season! Imagine glidng across the ice to the tune of your favorite carols...warming up by the beautiful outdoor fireplace... and sipping a cup of delicious hot chocolate or perhaps perppermint steamer while you enjoy an afternoon outdoors with friends and family members. All this and more at the Bill Collier Community Ice Arena! Regular Open Skate admission and skate rental fees apply.
