Recreation: Waterfowl

Located in the midst of the Pacific Flyway, Klamath County is a bird hunter's paradise where it's common for millions of ducks, geese and swans to migrate through every year. Our many wetlands, grasslands, and refuges provide ample habitat for these birds. Hunting season typically runs from early October through late January for ducks and geese.

Expensive guns are not important, but make sure it's approved for steel shot. You'll also want to bring along your hip or chest waders and camouflaged clothing including a raincoat and several layers of warm clothing, flotation vests, decoys, and calls. For supplies, information, and/or guide service, check in with Roe Outfitters at the Flyway Shop, 9349 Hwy 97. 541.884.3825.

For outstanding waterfowl, dove and quail hunting, contact the Circle 5 Ranch and Hunt Club at 541.545.6736. Located 30 miles east of Klamath Falls near Bonanza, OR.
